THE LOCKEBOX
TRANSFORMING CONTAINERS TO COMMUNITIES

Est. 2020 the Lockbox began as a single container repurposed into a functional hub — a place where people could step inside and leave with more than they came with.
The Lockbox is a response to the barriers that keep many in Charlotte on the outside looking in. It closes that distance by showing up where it’s needed most. Powered by the sun and built to move, it can transform into a studio, a classroom, or a workshop when the community calls for it.

PROGRAMS
By 2029, the Lockbox aims to expand into a full container community — a physical site built for a city strained by growth.
It will serve as space that shifts the odds and as a sustainable model for the people who’ve long called Charlotte home, ensuring they are part of its future.
Programming will start in 2026; check back here for upcoming details.
